Bilingual website – German and English
Real English pages with their own URLs instead of browser translation – so English-speaking customers can actually find you. At a fixed price.
Why browser translation is not enough
When a visitor has their browser translate your German site, that happens only live on their screen. To Google, your English content does not exist: there are no English pages, no English URLs, nothing that could ever be found by an English search query. Someone searching “holiday apartment heidelberg” ends up with those who have real English pages – not with you.
That is exactly what I build: real English pages with their own URLs, clean technical linking of both language versions (hreflang) and a language switcher. This very website is bilingual, by the way – this page also exists in German. That is what the result looks like.
Who this pays off for
- Holiday rentals, hotels, restaurants – international guests search and book in English
- Businesses with international customers – practices, service providers and shops in regions with many English-speaking clients
- Export and B2B companies – foreign business partners check you out via your website first

What the price actually pays for
Thanks to AI, the translation itself is the smallest part – what you pay for is the technical integration into your existing website (language routing, hreflang, translated search result snippets), the human review and your English discoverability.
What is covered – and what is not
- Technology scope: WordPress websites and static websites. Site-builder systems (e.g. Wix or Jimdo) cannot be cleanly extended to two languages – for those I offer a rebuild as a fast, bilingual website instead.
- Legal texts (legal notice, privacy policy, terms) are translated by machine only and labelled as machine translation – the German version remains the legally binding one. Legal translation is not part of the offer.
- Third-party widgets (booking tools, maps, review embeds) are translated only as far as the respective provider natively supports it.
- No new content creation: the basis is your existing German copy. New texts or additional pages are a separate topic – happy to talk about it.
